Conceição de Tavira is a charming rural town of farmers and fishermen which has old houses tucked away down narrow streets and open views of sea and shone. There are many historical attractions: statues from the I7th and 18th centuries. The main church's gothic origins are evident from tile fine main porch, which boasts five reentrant columns. The main chapel has a vault and a triumphal arch constructed in the classic Renaissance style (16th century ). Among the church's holy treasure is a 17th century silver monstrance.
